2018 Scholastic Book Fair: Sep 24 – 28, 2018; Broadway Elementary Auditorium
Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings kids the books they want to read. You’ll see a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level, and all purchases benefit our school!
We’re excited this year to move the fair to the auditorium and to September. We’re hoping the larger venue and everyone’s back-to-school enthusiasm helps us make this one of Broadway’s most successful fairs ever!
Reading for pleasure inside and outside of school has real and long-lasting benefits. Please come to our book fair and help shape your child’s reading habits.

Friends of Broadway’s Highway to Spell, an Adult Spelling Bee: April 21, 2018; 6-10 pm; Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Santa Monica
The Friends of Broadway Highway to Spell is the final, but funniest, fundraiser of the school year, bringing together our most courageous parents to compete in this comedic twist on a traditional spelling bee. With the professional improv actors from The Spelling Bee Company as our judges, our adult spellers will use their sound-it-out talents, best guess instincts and fundraised cheats as they battle their way to Spelling Bee victory!
Come join us for this fun-filled, adult-only event and see what other Broadway parents look like without children in tow! Dinner and drinks are part of the festivities, including special contributions from Broadway family-owned restaurants and eateries.
